PawQi Privacy Policy

PawQi is a pet care companion app for pet parents. It helps users manage pet profiles, reminders, medical records, emergency information, knowledge content, and care recommendations.

Information We Collect

• Account information such as name, email address, phone number, login identifiers, profile photo, language, country, timezone, and account status.
• Pet information such as pet name, species, breed, age or date of birth, gender, weight, microchip number, adoption details, veterinarian details, pet photos, and profile status.
• Pet health information such as vaccinations, medications, allergies, medical conditions, vet visits, prescriptions, lab reports, surgeries, medical documents, emergency notes, and weight history.
• Reminder and care information such as reminder schedules, completion status, notes, and attachments.
• Emergency information such as vet contacts, owner contacts, allergies, medication, conditions, and emergency notes.
• App usage and diagnostics such as analytics events, crash reports, performance information, device information, and app configuration data.
• User preferences such as notification, privacy, theme, accessibility, language, country, and timezone settings.

PawQi does not intentionally collect government identification numbers, payment card numbers, or precise location data unless a future approved feature clearly asks for permission and explains the purpose.

How We Use Information

We use information to provide account, pet profile, medical record, reminder, emergency, knowledge, and care recommendation features; save preferences; improve app reliability; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations and platform policies.

Sharing and Service Providers

PawQi may use trusted service providers, including Firebase and Google services, for authentication, database, storage, analytics, crash reporting, remote configuration, and app protection. PawQi does not sell personal or sensitive user data.

If future AI provider integrations are enabled, those requests must go through approved backend infrastructure and will require updated privacy disclosure before launch.

Pet Medical and Health Information

PawQi may store pet health and medical information that you enter. PawQi is not a veterinary clinic, veterinarian, emergency service, or medical device. Information in the app is for organization and educational support only. Always consult a qualified veterinarian for diagnosis, treatment, medication, emergencies, or medical decisions.

Data Security

PawQi is designed to use modern security practices, including encrypted transmission where supported by service providers, authenticated access, Firebase security rules, and restricted access to user-owned data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain information while your account is active or as needed to provide app functionality. When you request account deletion, PawQi will delete or anonymize account data and associated app data unless retention is required for legitimate legal or security reasons.

Children

PawQi is intended for pet parents and adults. PawQi is not directed to children.

Your Choices

You may update your profile and preferences, change notification settings, export your data where available, request account deletion, or uninstall the app.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy when PawQi changes or when legal, platform, or operational requirements change.
